Euro CD Problem
When you try to play the game, a message says "Please insert
correct CDROM" even if the "POSTAL 2" CD is already
in the drive.
This means the game is unable to detect an AUTHENTIC Postal 2
CD in your drive. By "AUTHENTIC" we mean a CD purchased
through a reputable software retailer. If you have a copy or
pirated version then this is normal and won't be able to play.
Unfortunately, a few people have reported seeing this message
even when they have an AUTHENTIC CD. The solutions below have
solved the problem for nearly all the people reporting it.
Solution #1
If your computer has another drive that can read a CD (such as
DVD, CD-R, CD-RW) then insert the Postal 2 CD into that drive
and start the game again. Some drivers may read the CD better
than others.
If you don't have another drive, or if your other drive didn't
work either, then try Solution #2.
Solution #2
Update the driver(s) for your DVD, CD-R, CD-RW or CD-ROM drive(s).
Updated drivers may allow the drive to read the CD properly.
After updating the drivers, try playing the game again.
If It Still Doesn't Work
If you tried the above solutions and the problem still occurs,
then you may be experiencing an incompatibility between your drive
and the copy protection used on the CD. You may have no choice
but to return the CD. We are working with the publisher, Whiptail,
to come up with a solution for the very small number of people
that can't solve this problem. We hope to have a further update
on this soon.
